Strategy, MMOTCG (Massively multiplayer online trading card game)īulbapedia has more information on this game: At this point I'm really only interested in peoples opinion who have played the game, which does not include you watching two YouTube videos from 5 months ago that told you it sucks and not to migrate. This article is a short summary of Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.īulbapedia features a more in-depth article.Įlectrified Games, Sleepy Giant Entertainment, Plexipixel (website), Inversoft (word filter), Dire Wolf Digital Stop listening to the bashing of people on the internet, get in there with some free decks and play a good 20-30 games. If you like ptcgo better that is perfectly fine, it's smoother because it's much more firmilliar, but that is also a game that went through some REAL rough phases (many people ignore how garbage ptcgo used to look and feel, look up old vids). but the game right now is far from unplayable and anyone saying it is I'm sure is just echo chambering. Adding back in expanded and hopefully more features. The board animations are embarassing but they are allowing them to be hidden next week. This game has a long way to go to be perfect. and the biggest one for me which no one is talking about is dynamic numbers.attacking for weakness, now the tooltip adjusts to show you that - no more trying to calculate health with cape or damage with choice belt or weird board buffs - all the numbers shown on pokemon health and attacks dynamically update and it's made the game so much easier to play. Some of the animations are nice like sliding damage counters to the bench instead of highlighting cards. The battle pass is infinitely better then the old system, the premade decks they give you are great (including mew/genesect at LVL 25 with all alternate art cards that would have cost a fortune in ptcgo). it's just not true, or just incredibly rare in the maybe one game they played? I've heard very little positive when in my experience there are some huge improvements. ![]() The amount of comments saying that people haven't been able to start a single match or every game they are unable to play a single card from their deck. It seems like a lot of people on here are just jumping on some bandwagon when they haven't actually played the game. To me this is far from game breaking as ptcgo used to brick and require client restart pretty often when someone wouldn't connect.Īnyways. Game takes about 45-60 seconds to give you the win and then onto the next game. Happens way more often in casual then ranked in my exp. Lastly it seems that in one in roughly 10 games or so the other person doesn't connect. The other bug that occurs basically every game is the thin blue marker line showing a possible action when it is obviously not possible (ex during the other person's turn) - pretty easy to ignore and is far from game breaking, unless I guess you are brand new and rely on the game to tell you have moves are possible. Two games out of 200 I was not able to select a certain pokemon from ultra ball - very frustrating and I scooped both games. I've played about 200 games this week and encountered a total of 3 bugs. Brought over my 125 packs and was prepared to for the worst, to be honest was prepared for this to be my last week playing ptcg but quickly realized most people on this sub have no clue what they are talking about. So I frustratingly migrated everything over last weekend. ![]()
